A gorgeous base for bold blooms, this one of a kind statement vase adds a warm accent to your living space and is roomy enough to hold a large bouquet.

This vase is hand-thrown on the potter’s wheel from smooth mid-fire porcelain. The burnished piece is then coated with several layers of custom-dyed black slip to create a slightly coarse finish into which each line of the burned log-inspired surface is individually hand-carved. The intricate charred bark texture is then filled with a black underglaze wash. A glossy obsidian glaze coats the interior and parts of the exterior, providing striking contrast to the unglazed areas. Signed on bottom.
