Mineral impressions ring dishes are made from solid blocks of clay. A chosen stone or mineral is impressed into the clay to form the bowl of the dish, then accented with slips or glazes. The exterior is carved in the Japanese Kurinuki style to a form that complements the interior impression. Inspired by the concept of materiality and the craggy rock formations found on Iceland’s black sand beaches.
Handwashing is recommended.
